Fall Equinox 2026

Tomorrow we arrive at the Fall Equinox, the moment when light and dark stand in perfect balance—and when the year invites us to pause and take an honest look at who we are becoming.

Six months ago, the Spring Equinox asked us to begin again: to clear the soil, plant our seeds, and trust what was still taking root. Now fall asks a different, deeper question: What has truly grown, and what are we ready to release?

This seasonal shift feels especially meaningful to me because I have been living this exact cycle alongside you. For me, spring has always been about new growth—clearing away the dormant pieces of winter, both inside and out, preparing the soil, and planting new seeds.

When I look back, I realize that the Spring Equinox arrived at almost the exact same moment The Sanctuary was born, back on March 20, 2026.

Over the last six months, I have poured my whole heart into building, developing, and nurturing The Sanctuary. I am so incredibly thankful and grateful for you, because your presence and support propelled me through the beautiful seasons of spring and summer.

Now, as the seasons begin to change, I am changing with them. I have spent the last few weeks preparing for this Equinox by looking closely at what is working, what is not working, and, most importantly, asking myself: What brings me joy? 😂 OK you can scroll to the bottom if you I want the answers sooner than later!

The Fall Equinox is about the harvest. It is a moment to look back at everything that has grown from the seeds we planted in the spring and ask ourselves: What actually ripened? What sustained me? What did I learn, and what do I want to preserve? And just as importantly, what has served its purpose and is ready to be released?

When it comes to an actual harvest, we do not throw everything away, and we do not hoard it all either. We savor and prepare what is ready right now, and preserve what will nourish us through the cold winter months. Then we release what no longer serves us. The same is true for food or thoughts

All the heavy experiences and unnecessary memories can and should be released. We can choose to hold on to the wisdom we gained—without carrying the heavy weight of everything we had to go through to receive it.

So tonight, and over the next few days, I invite you to take a little time to look back at your own growing season. Consider the beautiful, delicate balance of the Equinox. There is no “more than” or “less than.” It is a pure moment when light and darkness meet as equals, and neither is fighting for control. For just that moment, everything simply is. There is no pressure to push forward and no urge to pull backward. There is only the present moment and a chance to sit still enough to see what this season has truly given us.

Think about your journey since spring—not just the big milestones, but the quiet conversations, the shifting relationships, the hard decisions, the unexpected joys, and those small flashes of awareness that changed how you see yourself.

What ripened for you?

What did you learn that is truly worth keeping?

What will nourish you as you move forward?

And what are you finally ready to stop carrying?

As I reflect on those questions for myself, I can see the harvest taking shape here at The Sanctuary. The beautiful salon suite is growing with new clients. The Aura Reading Room is still astonishing our guests. And our Reiki Healing Touch sessions are now booking up as well.

That is what is truly worth keeping. That is what is moving us forward. And for all of it—for every visit, every booking, every kind word, and every bit of support—I am so deeply thankful to you all.

You do not have to give those past struggles any more of your light. You do not have to leave them in the dark. Just release them and let them go. Take the lessons. Keep the wisdom, the strength, and the growth.

And let the rest complete its season.

Peace, love and joy always,

JoAnn Frances
